My Mind Map

Image
There is a lot of ideas that I could choose form this mind map but I ended up choosing the print advert idea because it was way simpler and different than the other ideas. I made print advert light hearted and informative in order to attract my target audience and also inform them that smiling is good, not just for you but also everyone around them. I had the choice to do a commercial instead of a print advert but I changed my mind because I'm still not confident in my editing skills but I'm getting better at it, and I ended up choosing the print advert instead because it was simpler for me to change fonts and adding images.

Idea Generator

Image
I chose this particular picture because I wanted my print advert to have a simple background and also to be the main focus of the advert itself. The last photo that I got was the fact that the background had to much light at the back and will ruin the main focus, which is me. This is the end result. As you can see the background has low light which is perfect so it won't ruin the main focus of the print advert. This one by far was the best out of the others because it is simple and appealing to look at, and also it is very informative as it has the saying '' Did you know that a smile can make someone's day even better?'' This is aiming at people that don't know the benefits of smiling and by adding that saying, will make them feel better to know that a simple smile can make someone's day even better.

Evaluation

Drafts:   The first experimentation that I did was basically a mess of pictures and emojis. The font that I used for putting the images is called 'Collage' so I just added random images to it of what I thought that would be it. The feedback that I recieved is that there is to much going on and that I should limit down the images and emojis. This one was meant to be an upgrade for the previous one that I did, It turned out to be a lot worse. I added a lot of random images and emojis where I thought it would be enough but the feedback that I got was for me to just stick with one image that the audience would put their eyes on and add a fact quote on it for the audience to be informed and lastly, adding one single emoji. This one right here is a very simple. I basically took a picture of myself and added a huge smiling emoji on top of my face and the facts about smiling. The only issue with this one is the background, the sunshine made the print advert to bright and it wasn'...

My Print Advert

Image
As you can see from above images, I had to experiment multiple times to pick out the best one for my print advert. The photoshop that I used to create these print adverts is the app called 'Polish' it is sort of a tricky app to use at first but, its very simple to use. The print adverts that have multiple random images and emojis on it, never made it to the final because I was told that I need to use my own face for this and not from the internet, as this will give me even higher mark. Also, I was told that the emojis didn't make any sense and there is to much going on there, so my final print advert is the first one, its simpler and cleaner than the previous ones, as it includes me in it and one big smiling emoji. I limit the number of images to one because this will attract even more audiences to the print advert rather than adding a bunch of images, as this will not attract many audiences as I intended and it's pretty hard to read the text of some adverts. My final...

Explaining my flat plan

Image
In this flat plan, this is going to be my print advert. What it is, is a refugee camp and in the background; some camps and families once had a home escaped their country due to war and had to live in a camp and waiting for help to legally go to another country. Also, its snowing outside as they don't have a proper home, they will struggle during the winter and trying to combat the cold by making a camp fire as you can see above and there is a family close to the fire trying to stay warm. On the right side, you can see another camp but this time, a family member grieving over a death of a loved one and you can see that they buried the loved next to the camp. At the centre of the print advert, you can...

AC1: Informing Ideas

5 things that makes people happy 1) Be curious: People should fall in love of trying new things from time to time and experience the world around them. In a article from 'The Guardian', it argues that the case of curiosity might have an intrinsic link to a happier existence. In The Guardian it reads ''We think of curiosity as openness to exploring one's environment, being broad-minded and being open to new experiences and learning opportunities'' says Professor Dr. Maria Kangas of Macquarie University's department of Psychology. 2) Experience life: If you're are the type of person who wants to be happy and feel good about yourself, you need to get out and experience life by going to the park, riding a bike, going out with friends, and going somewhere that you've never been before yourself, for example going to a different country. Dr. Thomas Gilovich, a psychology professor at Cornell University, has been studying the effects of experience on hap...

Marketing Campaign Research

Strategy: Benfica released their new 2020/21 home and away kit (red and black) on 4th August, 2020. The white and gold third didn't release until 18th September, 2020. The club's strategy to introduce the new kit was through social media such as, Youtube, Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter. Most of the huge Benfica fanbase reacted positively, especially the third kit which is (in my opinion) the second best out of the three. It gain lots of attention since the fans really liked how the kits looked. This research helped me understand what to include in a campaign.
