Explaining my flat plan
In this flat plan, this is going to be my print advert. What it is, is a refugee camp and in the background; some camps and families once had a home escaped their country due to war and had to live in a camp and waiting for help to legally go to another country. Also, its snowing outside as they don't have a proper home, they will struggle during the winter and trying to combat the cold by making a camp fire as you can see above and there is a family close to the fire trying to stay warm.
On the right side, you can see another camp but this time, a family member grieving over a death of a loved one and you can see that they buried the loved next to the camp. At the centre of the print advert, you can see the child in the centre sad and pleading for help and both the left and right sides of the print advert, it tells the audience to donate at least £10 a month and to donate right now!
The main goal for this is to make people donate to the Happy Foundation to help them save the families who are living in refugee camps. Although this is sad, it can also bring a smile to the faces of thousands because they are helping those poor families from the harsh environments of a refugee camp and by simply in a click of a button, all they can feel is happiness for themselves and the families, who will be appreciative of the who helped them to get out of this misery of living the refugee camp.
Q1) What do you like about my idea?:
Levi: It clearly displays unhappiness and features text asking for donations, making the intentions clear.
Q2) What do you don't like about my idea?:
Levi: I think the “Help” text could be a little lower, therefore making it more easier to see, possibly making it bigger too. Doing that would make it feel more involved with the rest of the ad.
Q3) What are your expectations of a charity advert?:
Levi: A clear narrative and understanding of what the donations will be going too and how they will help.
Q4) What it makes people smile about a charity advert?:
Levi: People being able to help out in ways which can affect others with positive changes.
Q5) What makes people take notice of a charity advert?:
Levi: A large masthead to attract notice, along with a clear dominant/anchoring image that grabs the viewer’s attention through its either uniqueness or its visual appeal or sadness.
